Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the seamless and secure operation of the chemical plant, with responsibilities spanning safety audits, operational compliance, and team development to ensure maximum productivity and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and work permit audits to maintain secure plant functioning.
• Monitor ongoing field activities ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Analyze daily plant, process, and equipment issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure the preparation and attainment of annual production targets.
• Troubleshoot processes to guarantee smooth and safe operations, while supporting skill enhancement of team members through technical discussions.
• Train and validate competencies of operation staff effectively.
• Participate actively in both plant start-up and shutdown operations to complete planned tasks safely and on schedule.
• Maintain plant safety systems efficiently.
• Prepare safety audit schedules and ensure timely completion through follow-ups.
• Encourage and involve team members in company-wide initiatives such as safety and energy competitions, suggestion schemes, and training programs.
• Compile monthly variance, performance, and rolling plan reports.
• Conduct periodic Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) in line with schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc./Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
• 6 to 9 years of relevant experience for B.E./B.Tech graduates; 15 to 20 years for B.Sc./Diploma holders in similar industries.
