Role Overview
The Facility Management Engineer will be responsible for keeping building systems running smoothly, supporting day-to-day facilities operations, and making sure maintenance activities are carried out reliably and in line with safety and quality expectations.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the performance and upkeep of core building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Carry out regular site checks to spot maintenance issues before they escalate.
- Evaluate and sign off technical submissions, drawings, and maintenance methods where required.
- Work with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to plan and complete corrective and preventive maintenance work.
- Diagnose equipment or system breakdowns and propose appropriate repair actions.
- Help ensure all activities follow applicable safety rules, technical codes, and organizational standards.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on energy savings and sustainable facility operation.
- Document technical findings and maintain clear, accurate maintenance records and reports.
Required Background
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facility Engineering is required.
- Experience of 3 to 7 years in facility operations or maintenance engineering is expected.
- Working knowledge of building systems and established facility management practices is important.
- Hands-on familiarity with CAFM or CMMS platforms, along with engineering tools and software, is needed.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving are essential.
