Role overview

This position is for a desktop support / IT support engineer based in Singapore, with on-the-job training provided. The role focuses on helping end users with day-to-day technical issues, maintaining user devices, and supporting the smooth operation of workplace IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Handle first-line troubleshooting for laptops, tablets, and other user devices, including routine maintenance.
• Install and set up operating systems and software for end users.
• Support users with issues related to operating systems, email, hardware, and software.
• Deploy PCs, notebooks, and printers as requested.
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving network and wireless connectivity problems.
• Respond to incidents promptly, assess the issue, and provide either a temporary workaround or a permanent fix for escalated cases.
• Work with third-party vendors or equipment suppliers to resolve technical problems.
• Help ensure service levels are met and recommend or carry out corrective action where needed.
• Apply facility management standards and best practices to support consistency across project and facility management teams.
• Take on other assigned ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

• A minimum of Nitec in any discipline is required.
• Strong English communication skills to coordinate with different stakeholders.
• Good understanding of computer hardware, including chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and remote access or connection tools.
• Comfortable working in a healthcare environment.
• Applicants must be Singapore Citizens.
