Job Overview

The Cashier serves a pivotal role in delivering fast, courteous, accurate, and safe service to customers. Responsibilities include processing checkout and return transactions smoothly and overseeing the Self-Checkout area to ensure proper operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage checkout and returns efficiently while providing excellent customer interaction.
• Monitor and maintain Self-Checkout stations for customer use.
• Proactively enhance product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify sales opportunities.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures to reduce inventory shrinkage.

Head Cashier Role

• Assign positions to Cashiers and support them by facilitating price checks and approving Point of Sale transactions, markdowns, and special service requests across various registers and service areas.
• Serve as a first escalation point for customer concerns and issues.
• Assist in supervising, coaching, and training Front End Associates, including new Cashiers, using all available training and development resources.

Experience

The ideal candidate for Head Cashier should possess a minimum of one year of experience performing cashier duties.
