Business Analytics Intern

About the Role

This position is for a detail-focused Business Analytics Intern to support a high-growth stealth startup. The role offers direct exposure to founding teams and practical experience in turning raw data into insights, creating dashboards, and supporting decisions that shape the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, clean, and evaluate both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Carry out exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and useful observations.
• Create, update, and manage dashboards and reporting tools that support business review.
• Develop SQL queries to retrieve, transform, and work with data efficiently.
• Help define KPIs and performance metrics used to track business outcomes.
• Work alongside product, marketing, and business teams to support analytics needs.
• Summarize findings in a clear, practical format that supports action.

Required Qualifications

• Applicants should currently be pursuing, or have recently completed, a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
• Good command of Excel or Google Sheets is essential.
• Basic SQL knowledge is required.
• Some familiarity with Python, especially Pandas and NumPy, or comparable tools is preferred.
• Working knowledge of visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is useful.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are important.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to analytics work through projects or real datasets is an advantage.
• Understanding of business metrics and how performance is tracked will help in this role.
• Experience with A/B testing or statistical analysis is a plus.
• Comfort in a startup or fast-moving work environment is valued.
