Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting activities including journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Process and verify payments to suppliers, employee reimbursements, and banking transactions.
• Track cash flow and ensure accurate recording of cash balances.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable to guarantee prompt processing and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve financial queries.
• Support external audit activities by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist in taxation compliance and reporting duties.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain precise financial records within the ERP system and assist in process improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Academic background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA are advantageous.
• Possess 2 to 4 years of accounting experience.
• Proficient in payment processing, banking operations, and performing reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of taxation, VAT compliance, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with IFRS and accepted accounting practices.
• Strong analytical capabilities alongside organizational and communication skills.
• Applicants must be currently based in the UAE; candidates without previous UAE work experience are welcome.
• Preference for candidates available to start immediately.
