About the Internship

Join ESSI Integrated Technologies as a Software Testing intern and gain hands-on experience by working on Python APIs and React-based web applications. Your daily tasks will involve crafting detailed test scenarios, cases, and regression checklists based on feature requirements. You will execute various types of tests such as functional, exploratory, smoke, regression, integration, negative, usability, and browser compatibility tests.

Testing REST APIs using tools like Postman and cURL will also be part of your role, including validating authentication, HTTP statuses, JSON responses, and input validations. You will test workflows including login, dashboards, camera and video functionality, search features, maps, reporting, and administrative options.

Bug reproduction and reporting with comprehensive details will be crucial, alongside using browser developer tools, network analysis, logs, and SQL queries to pinpoint issues across frontend, backend, data, or integrations. You will retest fixes and help with smoke testing before and after deployments.

Assisting in the creation and upkeep of automated tests with Python/pytest and frontend frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright under the guidance of engineers will be expected. Moreover, you will validate real-time workflows involving WebSockets, SSE, databases, message queues, and camera/video services.

Regularly communicating QA updates, early identification of release risks, and recommending enhancements for usability and test coverage are part of the responsibilities.

Who Should Apply?

Full-time, in-office candidates who can join between August 24, 2026, and September 28, 2026, for a four-month term are eligible. Applicants should have relevant testing skills and interests. Women seeking to initiate or re-enter their careers are encouraged to apply. Students in Computer Science Engineering or freshers aspiring for job experience are welcome.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Applicants must be freshers, final-year students, recent graduates, or individuals with up to two years of experience in related fields. Preferred candidates hold degrees or training in B.Tech/BE, BCA, MCA, B.Sc. Computer Science/IT, or equivalent. A foundational understanding of SDLC, STLC, HTTP protocols, RESTful APIs, JSON, and databases is necessary. Strong observation, analytical, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to write detailed bug reports, are essential. Basic knowledge of Python, JavaScript, Git, and browser developer tools is required. Experience with pytest, Playwright, Vitest/Jest, Docker, Linux, PostgreSQL, Redis, or Kafka is advantageous but not mandatory. Personal and academic projects or open-source contributions qualify as experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The monthly stipend provided for this internship is INR 25,000. Upon successful conversion to a permanent role, the expected salary range is INR 420,000 to INR 600,000 per year. Interns will also receive a certificate upon completion along with a potential job offer.
