About the Internship

Join Atlas Copco (India) Limited as a Procurement Apprentice in Bangalore where you will actively manage the procurement lifecycle from vendor engagement to order fulfillment using tools such as SAP and EREQ systems. This hands-on role involves creating supplier codes, negotiating prices and terms to ensure optimal value for the company, and collaborating internally and externally to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders until goods receipt.
• Create new supplier codes, update vendor records, and extend sales organizational details.
• Negotiate favorable terms with external suppliers to acquire goods and services balancing quality against cost.
• Work closely with stakeholders to clarify specifications and procurement expectations.
• Obtain quotations upon receiving purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders ensuring timely product delivery.
• Review and address discrepancies in open purchase orders to align supplier performance with company requirements.
• Continuously assess supplier delivery performance and maintain purchasing data such as Material Master and Purchase Information Records.
• Validate procurement data routinely to anticipate and prevent potential issues.
• Align procurement processes and procedures with current operational standards.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports confirming accurate creation of purchase requisitions and stock transfer orders.
• Manually process stock transfer orders and orders in SAP to adapt to specific business needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to guarantee punctual delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with local vendors and global logistics teams to ensure products reach customers on time.
• Maintain Procure-to-Pay documentation compliant with ISO standards and audit requirements.
• Generate manual purchase orders for non-inventory and indirect purchasing needs.
• Prepare and submit purchase MIS reports promptly to management.
• Ensure vendor payments are made on schedule.
• Coordinate with Finance and Clearing and Handling Agents to expedite material clearance and warehouse receipt.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be available for a full-time (in-office) internship in Bangalore.
• Internship start dates should fall between August 24, 2026, and September 28, 2026.
• Candidates must commit to a 6-month internship duration.
• Relevant skills and keen interest in procurement and vendor management are required.
• The program welcomes women aiming to begin or resume their careers.
