Job Role and Details

• Position: BIOS Developer
• Employment Type: Full-time Employee
• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India
• Notice Period: 15 days
• Annual CTC Range: 2,000,000 – 3,000,000 INR

Required Experience and Skills

• Between 8 to 15 years of hands-on experience in BIOS/UEFI development for x86 platforms
• Proficiency with x86 CPU/APU architecture and related compilation tools
• Advanced skills in C programming language
• Familiarity with at least one major BIOS code base such as AMI, Insyde, Phoenix BIOS or open-source frameworks like coreboot and EDKII
• Experience managing platform bring-up and BIOS preparations
• In-depth understanding of various BIOS boot stages including SEC, PEI, DXE, and BDS; knowledge of PCDs, UPDs, memory map configuration, SPIROM, FSP, device tree concepts, and the BIOS handoff process to OS bootloader
• Ability to comprehend BIOS interaction with components such as Embedded Controller (EC) module, Baseboard Management Controller (BMC), security processors, power management firmware, and memory training firmware
• Practical experience with industry-standard protocols and interfaces including I2C, PCIe, SPI, eSPI, ACPI, SMM, IPMI, and UEFI
