This opportunity is being presented for a partner organization, which will handle every stage of the application and hiring process. The hiring company is seeking a Fullstack Developer (Node.js/React) located in Ireland.

You will help create and improve large-scale digital products used by millions of people across several international regions. In a fully remote setup, you will work with modern frontend and backend tools to design, build, test, and deploy web applications. The role spans the full development lifecycle, from early architecture conversations through implementation, quality checks, and release. You will work with cross-functional teams that value independence, new ideas, and ongoing learning, while contributing to solutions that address complex real-world business needs. Key responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and support fullstack web applications with Node.js, React, and related technologies.
• Create backend services and APIs that are efficient, dependable, and easy to maintain at scale.
• Develop interface experiences that are responsive, intuitive, and smooth for end users.
• Take part in architecture conversations and help shape microservices and service-based solutions.
• Produce clear, maintainable, and well-commented code aligned with engineering standards.
• Apply testing practices that improve software quality, stability, and long-term supportability.
• Work closely with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver valuable solutions.
• Support API planning, integration, documentation, and performance improvements across services.
• Contribute to container-based release environments and continuous improvement efforts.
• Share expertise, support teammates when needed, and help maintain strong engineering practices.

Required experience and capabilities

• Solid professional background in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax and modern development patterns.
• Practical backend development experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js.
• Strong frontend development experience with React or a similar modern framework.
• Comfort working across both frontend and backend as a true fullstack developer.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including schema design, query tuning, and performance awareness.
• Working knowledge of Elasticsearch for search, analytics, and retrieval use cases.
• Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.
• Exposure to microservices and service-oriented architecture approaches.
• Ability to work with API specifications and documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI or similar.
• Practical use of Docker and containerized environments.
• Strong grasp of clean code, software engineering standards, and technical documentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, initiative, curiosity, and enthusiasm for technology.
• Professional English communication skills at B2 level or above.
• Availability to work according to Portugal business hours, regardless of where you are based.
• Additional value will be given to experience with TypeScript, Go, GraphQL, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, CI/CD, message brokers, observability tooling, or security best practices.
• Experience in insurance, fintech, or other regulated sectors will be considered an advantage.

• Monthly net compensation of €2,000 to €2,500, depending on seniority and experience.
