Job Overview

This recruitment drive, set to take place in India towards the end of 2026, seeks qualified Electrical Planners to join QatarEnergy LNG. Only candidates shortlisted will be invited for in-person interviews; walk-ins are not accepted.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance planning for the Asset Maintenance team to ensure optimal scheduling and resource allocation, enhancing the reliability of onshore operating facilities in adherence to policies and targets.
  • Align planning activities with maintenance KPIs and ensure timely execution for operational efficiency.
  • Create detailed work scopes for company work orders related to asset maintenance.
  • Review planned tasks ensuring adequate resources — including materials, procurement, tools, labor, contracts, and logistics — are assigned.
  • Carry out daily evaluations of new notifications to confirm sufficient planning information, realistic time frames, update acceptable completion dates, check amendments, and identify duplicate work orders for cancellation.
  • Verify all costs are accounted for in work orders before forwarding for management approval.
  • Initiate Master Data Governance corrections in SAP Bill of Materials concerning work order planning as needed.
  • Prepare Material Return to Stock documentation for unused surplus materials.
  • Ensure all planned work complies with company standards.
  • Coordinate monthly preventive maintenance (PM) review processes well in advance and prepare PM plans.
  • Maintain and update the SAP PM task list library for routine and major recurring maintenance activities.
  • Support the work order closure process by setting statuses to Technical Completion (TECO).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering.
  • A minimum of seven years' experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors, with at least three years in dedicated planning or scheduling roles.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Computer literacy with familiarity in industry software, particularly SAP PM.
