Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Implement Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) best practices in various cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming.
- Manage waste disposal and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly.
- Perform cleaning procedures following patient discharge and handle rooms designated for admission, discharge, isolation, or outbreak scenarios according to IPAC and company protocols.
- Ensure all rooms meet strict cleanliness standards through consistent care and inspections.
- Protect and maintain equipment, promptly reporting any damages or shortages to supervisors.
- Address complaints and requests professionally and patiently.
- Monitor consumable supplies and replenish stock as needed.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines and remain informed of company policies.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of secondary education preferred; relevant Home Support programs advantageous.
- Minimum of one year experience in a similar role or related life experience.
- Capability to travel locally between assignments.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting up to 23 kilograms, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently maintaining high performance levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Effective prioritization and time management competencies.
- Positive attitude, stamina, and eagerness to meet job demands.
- Ability to provide clear criminal background and vulnerable sector checks.
