Job description
Role overview
The YEA Program Assistant will support the daily operations of the YEA! Network within the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina. The role is focused on keeping program activities organized, helping coordinate meetings and events, and ensuring smooth communication across partners and participants.
Key duties
- Help plan and schedule meetings, events, trainings, and workgroup sessions.
- Support engagement efforts with youth and partner organizations.
- Coordinate communication across the network and maintain program-related updates.
- Track project activities and outcomes in an organized way.
- Contribute to efforts that keep youth voice included in planning, advocacy, training, and systems improvement work.
Required education and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related discipline, along with 2 years of experience, is required. A master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related discipline is also acceptable.
Preferred knowledge and tools
- Understanding of child welfare, foster care, and related practices and policies.
- Strong initiative and the ability to organize complex work into clear tasks and achievable goals.
- Comfort using Office 365, Canva, and virtual meeting tools.
