Role Overview

The Burnaby location seeks a diligent Yard Worker dedicated to upkeep and organization of the yard and equipment, while supporting maintenance operations. This position follows a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage loading and unloading tasks of rental tools and machinery
• Confirm equipment status regularly within the yard
• Prepare equipment for customer deliveries
• Stage units for servicing and repairs
• Diagnose and fix earthmoving and aerial equipment issues
• Validate reservation reports ensuring equipment readiness
• Conduct cleaning, minor maintenance, and functional assessments before rentals
• Perform thorough quality inspections
• Maintain an orderly yard environment
• Engage with customers when necessary
• Undertake additional duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a recent driving abstract
• Experience in operating equipment and basic repair skills on small tools advantageous
• Background in warehouse or labour roles considered favorable
• Capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds
• Proven teamwork with proactive problem-solving skills and a positive demeanor
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Previous exposure to equipment yards or construction environments preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $26 to $28, subject to individual qualifications and company discretion.
