Yard Driver

About the Role

A highly regarded client in the automotive sector with locations nationwide is currently looking for committed Yard Drivers to support vehicle auction site activities across the UK. This role involves actively contributing to the smooth operation of a busy, fast-moving environment by moving vehicles efficiently within a large yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Relocating vehicles promptly across various parts of an extensive auction site.
• Walking long distances throughout the working day, demanding considerable physical stamina.
• Remaining compliant with safety requirements, including wearing safety boots and high-visibility vests at all times while on site.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a full driving license valid for a minimum of five years.
• Candidates must be aged over 25, meeting insurance conditions.
• Driving license must have no more than six points for minor violations and exclude DR10 endorsements.
• Good physical fitness to successfully carry out continuous walking and vehicle moving duties.
• Strong time management skills to meet operational schedules effectively.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing mandated protective gear.

Compensation and Additional Information

• Starting wage of £12.71 per hour.
• Applicants may be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) background check.
