Wrapping Operator

Position Summary

This role involves wrapping wire according to order specifications, completing associated paperwork, recording and entering data, and maintaining clear communication with supervisors and coworkers. Maintaining a clean work area is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Roll the wire reel onto a jack and position it properly.
• Perform welding to connect new wire reel to the previous reel's end.
• Configure machines according to the specific order requirements.
• Regularly monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Utilize and interpret micrometer measurements to check wire dimensions.
• Oversee processes and controls to guarantee quality compliance and complete labeling accurately.
• Place finished reels in designated storage areas and communicate relevant information to supervisors and team members.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• No prior work experience is necessary; entry-level position.

Skills and Abilities

• Capability to comprehend manufacturing instructions clearly.
• Proficiency using wire measuring and cutting tools such as micrometers, wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, and hammers.
• Ability to adhere strictly to plant safety rules, work policies, and operational procedures while maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
• Competence to input information into computer systems accurately.
