About the Role

We’re seeking motivated individuals with customer service backgrounds and a keen interest in technology and visual effects to become part of our dynamic Render Wrangling team. This team maintains the rendering process throughout various productions by overseeing the render farm and engaging with all parts of the production pipeline.

Wrangling is a pivotal support position within the film and VFX sector, involving tasks such as rendering management, data processing, and ensuring the timely delivery of visual effects to clients worldwide. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in a world-class production setting while fostering the growth of technical, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and manage the render farm to ensure it operates at peak performance.
• Coordinate and maintain rendering priorities in collaboration with production teams.
• Investigate rendering problems and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure and engineering teams to provide production support.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative team approach.
• Familiarity with Linux or other UNIX-based operating systems.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns and variable hours totaling 40 to 50 hours per week.
• Educational background including a tertiary degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, Digital Media Design, Animation, Digital Art, 3D Modelling, Web Development, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
• Experience or knowledge of VFX tools such as Katana, Nuke, or Maya.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Customer service or service desk experience.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware components, networking, and system monitoring tools.
• Exposure to scripting languages like Python.
• Capability in data analysis and graphical representation.
