About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and practical Workshop Store Person to join our team at the Perth Airport depot. This is a dynamic role crucial to maintaining seamless workshop operations by ensuring the availability of parts, consumables, and inventory as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, and thrives in a busy operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the workshop store clean, orderly, and safe
- Pick, pack, load, and unload items for workshop and branch use
- Manage inventory control, stock movements, and receipt of inbound goods
- Place orders for parts and consumables when necessary
- Create and close purchase and work orders
- Verify received goods against supplier documents for accuracy
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal teams
- Operate forklift safely following company guidelines
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS), Chain of Responsibility, and company policies
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a store person, warehouse, or parts-related role
- Valid forklift license
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with warehouse, inventory, or ERP systems is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to accurately interpret parts and order details
- Effective communication and customer service capabilities
- Proactive with safety and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
