Job description

Role Overview

As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will collaborate with the Distribution Centre (DC) Engineering team to sustain labour standards, streamline workforce planning processes, and manage workforce administration systems. Your role involves analyzing labour metrics, maintaining workforce data, supporting scheduling tools, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Distribution Centre Engineering team with labour standards and workforce planning procedures.
  • Conduct motion and time studies to validate labour standards and spot productivity enhancement opportunities.
  • Analyze labour performance, operational data, and workflow patterns to back Engineering projects and continuous improvements.
  • Manage and administer the UKG Workforce Management software, including maintaining labour standards, scheduling protocols, and system configurations.
  • Assist in labour forecasting and workforce planning by evaluating operational volumes and associated labour needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional groups to ensure alignment between workforce management processes and operational goals.
  • Participate in the development, testing, and rollout of new workforce planning and labour management solutions.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse operations support, labour planning, workforce management, or industrial engineering functions.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Workforce Management platforms.
  • Experience conducting motion and time studies using methodologies such as MOST or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical capability, proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Additional Information

This position is a hybrid role based in the greater Vancouver, BC area, specifically at the Langley Distribution Centre. The schedule comprises four days per week onsite and one day remote work weekly.
