About the Company and Role
We are seeking a Workday Integration Specialist to design, construct, and maintain seamless integrations between Workday and a variety of internal and external systems such as payroll, benefits, finance, IAM, and third-party platforms. This pivotal role involves managing the complete integration lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support, with a strong focus on data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and sustain integrations within Workday using tools such as EIB, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, Workday Studio, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Develop calculated fields, custom reports (including Advanced, Matrix, Composite types), and RaaS endpoints to fulfill integration data requirements.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders from HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to understand their requirements and convert these into detailed technical designs and documentation.
- Oversee deployment of integrations across different tenants, support semi-annual Workday release regression testing, and address any integration issues that arise post-release.
- Monitor integration schedules, diagnose failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
- Manage secure data transfers via SFTP, PGP encryption, X.509 certificates, OAuth, and maintain security groups and Integration System Users (ISUs) related to integrations.
- Document technical procedures thoroughly, maintain runbooks and change logs, and adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management protocols.
- Assist in audit processes ensuring compliance with SOX, GDPR, and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between 3 to 6 years of practical experience developing Workday integrations.
- Solid proficiency with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, and Workday Web Services.
- Strong expertise in working with XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and understanding web service communication protocols.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM processes, its security framework, and underlying data model.
- Proven skills in troubleshooting integrations, managing errors, and tuning performance.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with thorough documentation capabilities and effective communication with stakeholders.
