Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Workday Adaptive Planning Developer to lead comprehensive implementations across Finance, Workforce, and Sales Planning domains. The candidate will utilize their expertise to create, configure, and deploy Adaptive Planning models, collaborating closely with FP&A, HR, and business teams to deliver impactful planning solutions that facilitate strategic decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle implementations of Workday Adaptive Planning, including gathering requirements, designing, building, testing, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment.
- Develop and configure Sheets, Modeled Sheets, Dashboards, OfficeConnect reports, and Discovery Boards to meet business needs.
- Set up security roles, permissions, versions, and hierarchy levels within the platform.
- Create and maintain formulas, cube calculations, and reporting frameworks for budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with FP&A, HR, and other stakeholders to convert planning needs into scalable Adaptive Planning models.
- Perform UAT, data validation, and troubleshoot issues during implementation phases.
- Provide ongoing support, improvements, and training to end-users post-implementation.
- Document designs, configuration details, and test procedures systematically.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Four to five years of hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning implementations, formerly known as Adaptive Insights.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Sheets, Modeled Sheets, Levels, Versions, Formulas, Dashboards, and OfficeConnect tools.
- Experience integrating Adaptive Planning with Workday HCM/Financials or other ERP and HRIS platforms via Adaptive Integrator, APIs, or flat-file loads.
- Strong understanding of configuring both functional and data-level security within the platform.
- Prior involvement in at least two to three end-to-end implementation projects is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Mandatory possession of a Workday Adaptive Planning certification.
