Job description
Overview
This role involves leading the complete delivery of Workday Adaptive Planning projects, including workforce, revenue, expense, balance sheet, and cash flow planning. You will address major business challenges such as cyber security, trust, resilience, and digital transformation within a dynamic Finance Transformation team.
What You'll Do
- Lead interactive design workshops with finance and HR stakeholders ranging from analysts to executive sponsors to understand current planning processes and develop effective Workday Adaptive Planning solutions.
- Present multiple solution options, explain trade-offs clearly, and align stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Manage end-to-end delivery including design, configuration, data loading, reporting, testing, user acceptance, training, and post-implementation support.
- Support comprehensive planning models such as workforce and headcount planning, driver-based models for expenses and revenues, and integrated balance sheet and cash flow planning.
- Coach and mentor junior team members on modelling and client engagement techniques.
- Contribute to the development of reusable assets and innovative delivery methodologies to enhance efficiency in future implementations.
About Our Team
The Finance Transformation team helps CFOs respond to disruption and modernize finance functions by integrating finance expertise with process improvements and technology solutions like ERP, EPM, robotics, and AI to produce measurable results.
Your Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, financial modelling, or implementation of enterprise planning, with practical Workday Adaptive Planning build experience.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and facilitation of workshops involving finance and HR leaders through to executive sponsors.
- Ability to analyze current planning workflows and design clear, practical technology solutions with understandable options and trade-offs for finance professionals.
- Proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning components such as dimensions, levels, accounts, attributes, cube and modelled sheets, formula logic, allocations, versions, calendars, currency management, and security settings.
- Proven track record leading full lifecycle delivery including design, construction, testing, training, and hypercare phases.
- Current Workday Adaptive Planning certification.
- Possession of a CA, CPA, or CIMA qualification or a degree in finance or accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.
