Workato Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned Workato Developer to join our team based in Chennai with a hybrid/remote work arrangement. The role requires designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade integration solutions leveraging the Workato platform. Candidates will handle building Workato recipes, APIs, connectors, and workflows, integrating various cloud applications and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy integration solutions using the Workato platform.
• Create and sustain sophisticated Workato recipes and integration workflows.
• Integrate widely-used enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and ServiceNow alongside other SaaS services.
• Develop integration points using REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, HTTP, and OAuth protocols.
• Utilize Workato connectors, including custom-built connectors, API platforms, and endpoints for integrations.
• Perform data transformation, mapping, validation, with robust error handling, retry strategies, and exception management mechanisms.
• Monitor ongoing integrations and address production issues promptly.
• Enhance existing recipes and workflows focusing on improving scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, solution architects, developers, and other application teams to capture and fulfill integration requirements.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation for integration workflows, APIs, and deployment procedures.
• Adhere strictly to development standards, security protocols, and formal release/change management processes.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Proven practical experience with the Workato integration platform and recipe development, from initial design through deployment.
• Strong expertise in API-centric integration approaches.
• Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, HTTP protocols, OAuth authentication, and webhooks.
• In-depth knowledge of data mapping, transformation techniques, and integration troubleshooting.
• Experience monitoring integration environments, logging activities, and managing errors effectively.
• Comfortable working with enterprise SaaS and cloud-based application ecosystems.
• Sound understanding of integration architectures and complete data flow processes.
• Strong analytical thinking combined with problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration across teams.

Additional Information

Work shift: 3:00 AM to 12:00 PM US Pacific Time (PST).

Location: Chennai with a hybrid or remote working option.
