Core Duties

• Create, develop, and sustain custom WordPress themes and sites.
• Modify existing themes and plugins to align with client specifications.
• Transform PSD, Figma, and XD designs into fully responsive and pixel-precise WordPress websites.
• Construct and implement custom plugins as necessary.
• Improve website speed, performance, and apply SEO best practices.
• Identify and fix bugs, address security concerns, and resolve compatibility issues.
• Guarantee consistency across different browsers and device types.
• Collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, and fellow developers on client initiatives.
• Oversee website updates, maintenance tasks, and data backups.
• Keep abreast of the latest WordPress versions, plugin enhancements, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years of practical experience in WordPress development.
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Proven experience with key page builders, especially Elementor and Divi Builder.
• Knowledge of WooCommerce for e-commerce website development.
• Understanding and application of responsive and mobile-first web design techniques.
• Basic proficiency in MySQL and managing databases.
• Version control experience using Git is advantageous.
• Fundamental knowledge of SEO methodologies.
• Excellent analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective multitasking skills for managing several projects and adhering to deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing custom themes and plugins from the ground up.
• Familiarity with REST API implementations.
• Exposure to other content management systems such as Shopify and Wix.
