Wheel & Body Technician

Position Overview

Contek Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a prominent national automotive logistics company based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, seeking an experienced Wheel & Body Technician. This full-time permanent role involves a combination of vehicle body repairs and comprehensive tyre and wheel maintenance to guarantee fleet vehicles are safe and visually compliant before use.

Key Duties

• Remove, examine, fit, and balance tyres on commercial vehicles adhering to safety regulations.
• Conduct minor body repairs, adjust panels, and perform cosmetic enhancements on light vehicles.
• Inspect wheel components including rims and tyre tread depth, and replace any defective or worn parts.
• Operate bodyshop equipment such as tyre changers and wheel balancing machines safely and effectively.
• Complete basic job documentation and maintain orderly, clean workstations following Health & Safety standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in tyre fitting/replacement and light vehicle body repair.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wheel assemblies, tyre tread depth requirements, and bodyshop processes.
• Strong practical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
• Dependable team collaborator with effective communication abilities.

Compensation and Work Schedule

• Hourly wage of £14.75.
• Monday through Friday shift pattern.
