Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fitter to join our team to perform welding and fabrication tasks. This role involves hands-on work with various metal components using multiple welding techniques and requires attention to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute MIG, TIG, and Arc welding operations as well as basic metal fabrication duties.
- Interpret and work from basic engineering drawings, including measurements and dimensions.
- Conduct cutting, drilling, grinding, bending, and fitting activities on metal parts.
- Assemble and precisely align fabricated components to ensure accuracy.
- Weld MS (mild steel), SS (stainless steel), and other metals according to specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices while adhering to safety norms.
- Inspect completed work to verify correct alignment, dimensions, strength, and finish quality.
- Carry out minor repairs and modifications on metal structures as needed.
- Ensure proper maintenance of welding and fabrication tools and machinery.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment diligently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organize the work area to uphold good housekeeping standards.
