Role Summary

This role is a full-time, on-location position in Doha, requiring the individual to perform welding and fabrication assignments as per technical drawings, project specifications, and safety regulations. Daily responsibilities encompass preparing materials, setting up welding apparatus, executing welds using appropriate techniques, inspecting finished work, and making necessary adjustments to uphold quality and structural soundness. The position requires collaboration with supervisors and other trade professionals, upkeep of tools and equipment, and strict adherence to safety protocols and site rules. The Welder may also assist with material handling, basic cutting and grinding operations, and support general metalworking tasks as the project demands.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven welding expertise with hands-on experience in general welding and arc welding techniques.
• Competency in specialized welding methods such as TIG and MIG welding to cater to diverse project requirements.
• Understanding of various materials including metal properties, appropriate filler materials, and effective joint preparation methods.
• Possession of relevant technical certification or vocational training in welding or metal fabrication is desirable.
• Knowledge of welding safety protocols, the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe handling of tools and machines.
• Ability to interpret welding symbols, basic technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Previous hands-on experience as a welder in construction or industrial environments preferred.
• Physical capability to work in different positions, manage tools and materials effectively, and perform tasks in outdoor or workshop settings.
