Overview
Wingecarribee Shire Council invites applications for a permanent full-time Waste Services Officer position in Moss Vale, NSW. This role focuses on supporting the efficient, compliant, and customer-oriented delivery of waste management services within a distinctive regional community. The position involves 35 working hours per week with a variable day off every 19 days. The salary range is $82,918.16 to $96,364.07 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
As the Waste Services Officer reporting to the Coordinator Waste Services, you will aid in administering and managing the Council's contracts related to domestic and commercial waste collection, processing, and disposal. Your tasks will include gathering, analyzing, and reconciling waste data, compiling reports, ensuring legislative compliance, and collaborating closely with contractors, internal teams, and the community to enhance service delivery and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent substantial administrative experience
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong skills in internal and external customer service with effective written and verbal communication, including handling confidential information sensitively
- Experience producing accurate reports from complex data sources, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Understanding of contract management principles and local government operations within the community context
