About the Role
Bathurst Regional Council is inviting applications for the role of Waste Collection Officer to join the Waste Management Centre team. The key responsibility of this role is to operate a waste collection vehicle to gather household waste throughout Bathurst, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and council policies. Additional duties within the Waste Management Centre will also be assigned as necessary.
This position reports directly to the Waste Collection Team Leader.

Key Requirements
- Hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence
- Possess fundamental mechanical and maintenance skills
- Demonstrated experience operating tipping trucks
- Proficiency in using lifting equipment
- Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong dedication to delivering quality customer service and fostering continuous improvement

Additional Details
- Weekly Salary Range: $1,118.30 to $1,175.00 plus 12% superannuation
- Employment Status: Permanent, full-time
- Work Hours: 38 hours per week with a rostered day off every three weeks
