Job Overview

The Warranty Analyst plays a crucial role in examining and managing warranty claims from various sources like dealers, service centers, customers, and field teams. The role involves detecting repeated failures, unusual patterns, and quality concerns by validating claims against warranty policies and technical standards. The analyst classifies claims by failure type, component, supplier, model, and use case, and coordinates the retrieval and analysis of faulty parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate warranty claims from different stakeholders.
• Recognize recurrent defects and abnormal trends to highlight possible quality problems.
• Confirm warranty claims comply with policy and technical guidelines.
• Assign claims to categories based on failure mode and associated components or suppliers.
• Organize the collection and recall of questionable warranty parts for in-depth investigation.
• Work with dealers, service centers, warehouses, suppliers, and internal departments to collect parts.
• Examine faulty components to determine if issues originate from suppliers, manufacturing, design, or assembly processes.
• Support root-cause analysis and technical inquiries through quality management tools.
• Identify claims linked to supplier or component defects.
• Compile and submit supplier chargeback claims backed by verified failures.
• Calculate all recoverable costs related to warranty claims, including parts, labor, logistics, inspections, and handling fees.
• Ensure all chargeback claims are supported by proper documentation.
• Liaise with Supplier Quality, Procurement, Finance, and external suppliers to manage claim settlements.
• Monitor disputed, accepted, rejected, and recovered amounts associated with supplier claims.
• Persistently follow up on unresolved claims to guarantee timely financial recovery.
