Warehouse Supervisor

Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the comprehensive management of the bakery manufacturing unit’s Raw Material (RM), Packaging Material (PM), and Finished Goods (FG) stores. This role involves maintaining precise inventory control, ensuring proper storage according to FIFO/FEFO systems, facilitating seamless availability of materials for production, and ensuring smooth dispatch of finished products.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform receipt and verification of raw materials, including maida, sugar, fats/oils, milk powder, and other ingredients, checking quantities, batch numbers, manufacturing, and expiry dates.
• Ensure raw materials are stored in designated locations, adhere to FIFO/FEFO protocols, and only issued against authorized requisition slips.
• Manage packaging materials such as pouches, cartons, labels, and tapes, maintaining SKU and size-wise inventory, and preventing mix-ups between similar products.
• Receive, organize, and store finished goods by SKU, batch, and date while following FIFO/FEFO to prevent damage.
• Coordinate the preparation and dispatch of finished goods according to plans, verifying quantities before loading and maintaining accurate dispatch and return records.
• Maintain accurate physical stock for RM, PM, and FG with regular checks and timely reporting of shortages, excesses, damages, or discrepancies.
• Implement proper warehouse storage methods including rack/bin identification, cleanliness, pest control, and safety measures to protect materials from damage or contamination.
• Work closely with Production to anticipate material needs, manage issuance, handle returns, and report unusual usage or wastage.
• Enforce strict controls ensuring all material movements and finished good dispatches are fully documented and verified, with no old stock left unused.

Daily Reporting

• Provide daily updates on RM, PM, and FG stock status.
• Report details of materials received, issued to production, production returns, finished goods received and dispatched.
• Highlight damaged, rejected, expired stock, shortages, excess inventory, and any discrepancies.
• Identify and escalate critical low-stock items promptly.

Key Compliance Controls

• Ensure no material moves without proper documentation.
• Prevent dispatch of finished goods without adequate verification.
• Strictly follow FIFO/FEFO to avoid old stock accumulation.
• Address and report any stock mismatches immediately.
