Warehouse Supervisor

Job Overview

We are looking to hire a Warehouse Supervisor responsible for overseeing daily activities in the warehouse and site operations, focusing on effective material handling, stock control, and workforce management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations within the warehouse or godown, ensuring smooth management of scrap, machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing stock.
• Supervise activities related to loading, unloading, and material transfers.
• Assign daily tasks to workers and monitor their performance.
• Verify material quantities and their condition to ensure quality standards.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials at various sites.
• Coordinate effectively with workers, drivers, transporters, and site teams to facilitate site operations.
• Address and resolve basic issues related to site materials and operations.
• Maintain daily reports regarding stock and site progress.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor's degree or any graduate qualification.
• A minimum of two years' experience in warehouse, godown, or site supervision roles.

Skills and Language Requirements

• Proficient in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
• Capable of managing teams and workers efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of stock and material management processes.
• Good communication skills in Tamil are mandatory; knowledge of Hindi is advantageous.

Additional Information

• Candidate must be willing to travel and reside at different project locations as needed.
• Primary work location is Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with projects across various sites.
