Overview
ChillCare Apparels seeks a seasoned Trims Store Manager to autonomously oversee the trims and accessories inventory for garment production. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for receiving, storing, inventory tracking, issuing, reconciling, and documentation of garment trims and accessories essential for manufacturing.
Primary Duties
- Supervise daily trims and accessories store operations ensuring organized storage and labeling.
- Segregate materials systematically based on style, buyer, and order.
- Maintain cleanliness and optimize the use of store space.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase documents and approved requirements; coordinate with purchasing, merchandising, and quality teams on discrepancies.
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN) and update inward transactions promptly in ERP systems.
- Maintain precise physical and digital inventory records for a broad range of trims including buttons, zippers, labels, hangtags, elastics, threads, tapes, velcro, cords, patches, polybags, cartons, packing materials, and other accessories.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock and identify slow-moving items.
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Issue materials to production as per job cards, BOMs, and requisitions, ensuring accuracy and documentation for all transactions.
- Coordinate with production-related departments to prevent delays due to material shortages.
- Maintain detailed tracking of order-wise trim requirements and stock status to ensure readiness prior to production.
- Ensure all store transactions, including returns and adjustments, are accurately recorded in the ERP and physical stock is regularly reconciled.
- Generate stock reports on daily, weekly, and monthly intervals and maintain orderly documentation.
- Lead and manage store personnel, assigning tasks, supervising performance, providing training on material handling and documentation, and enforcing store procedures and discipline.
Candidate Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of experience managing trims or accessories inventory, preferably within garment manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of garment trims and accessories and inventory management practices.
- Experience with style-wise and order-wise stock handling.
- Good grasp of garment production workflow and material needs.
- Proven capability in stock reconciliation and conducting physical stock audits.
- Proficiency with ERP systems for inventory control and strong MS Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage store operations and lead a team.
- Preference for candidates from the apparel, textile, or garment manufacturing industries.
