Role Overview

The Ward Boy position involves delivering essential non-medical assistance to patients by supporting their daily activities and aiding medical staff in various physical and organizational duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Help patients during meal times by serving food and providing support with eating or drinking when necessary.
• Support patient mobility, including walking, performing any prescribed exercises, and moving between beds and wheelchairs.
• Maintain patient comfort by changing bed linens, adjusting pillows, and ensuring availability of clean blankets.
• Safely transfer patients using stretchers or wheelchairs to different hospital areas such as laboratories, operating theatres, or radiology departments.
• Transport laboratory samples, blood tests, documents, medicines, files, and equipment between hospital sections.
• Keep patient rooms, beds, and shared ward spaces clean, orderly, and hygienic.
• Adhere to hospital guidelines for correct segregation and disposal of general and biomedical waste.
• Support nursing staff in preparing beds, managing heavy equipment, and handling soiled linens.

Compensation

The monthly salary ranges from 13000 to 15000 INR.
