Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated full-time waiter or waitress to join our team at The Metropolitan, working on location in Bristol. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, present menus, take and relay food and drink orders accurately, and serve meals efficiently. Daily duties also include preparing and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness and organization within the dining area, and collaborating closely with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee a seamless service experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in customer service and effective communication, enabling professional interactions with both guests and coworkers.
- Sound knowledge and competence in food and beverage service, including familiarity with menu items and proper table service techniques.
- A basic understanding of food preparation or cooking to confidently discuss dishes and their ingredients with customers.
- Dependability, keen attention to detail, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Previous experience working within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is highly valued.
