About the Role

Popo Ventures invites applications for the role of an Order Taker or Senior Order Taker at their restaurant located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by warmly welcoming guests, assisting with seating, and efficiently managing orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help them with seating arrangements while professionally presenting the menu.
• Explain menu offerings clearly and recommend food and beverage options tailored to guests' preferences.
• Take accurate customer orders and promptly input them into the POS system.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure the timely delivery of meals and beverages.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing guest needs and maintaining a pleasant dining atmosphere.
• Encourage upselling by suggesting complementary items such as add-ons, combo meals, and special dishes.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the service and handle requests or concerns swiftly.
• Keep service counters, dining areas, and order stations clean and organized.
• Support restaurant operations by coordinating with staff in both service and kitchen areas.
• Participate in opening and closing tasks, including preparation and tidying of service zones.
• Manage billing procedures accurately and address customer inquiries efficiently.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
• Basic understanding of restaurant or hotel service operations.
• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Age range: 18 to 35 years.
• Friendly, polite demeanor combined with a neat and well-groomed appearance.
• Strong skills in customer service and teamwork.
• Physical endurance to stand for prolonged periods.
• Willingness and flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is INR 22,000 to INR 28,000.
