Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Threat Research team focusing on vulnerability analysis, identifying impacted products, versions, exploit paths, and activation scenarios of new vulnerabilities.
• Leverage vulnerability intelligence and exploit feeds to spot recently disclosed CVEs, including critical vulnerabilities actively exploited without CVE identifiers.
• Establish lab environments to create proof of concepts and detection queries utilizing the SAFE Query Language.
• Work in tandem with the SAFE Exploit Research team to develop exploits for identified CVEs.
• Determine compensatory controls to mitigate risks associated with these vulnerabilities.
• Engage in ongoing research of current security trends and innovative attack methodologies using threat and vulnerability intelligence feeds.
• Maintain proactive interactions within the Threat Research and Program Management teams to drive results.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Educational background of M.Tech or B.Tech/B.E./BCA in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Proven hands-on experience solving Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges.
• Demonstrable expertise in effectively using Large Language Models (LLMs) for vulnerability research.
• Contributions to open-source security tools, CVE advisories, or published cybersecurity research are highly valued.
• Practical knowledge of port scanners, vulnerability scanners, and exploitation frameworks.
• Experience developing modules or templates for detection and scanning on platforms such as Nuclei and Metasploit.
• Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.

Preferred Certifications

• Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
• Certified Penetration Testing Specialist (CPTS)
• Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO)
