Role Overview
As the VP, Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineering, specializing as a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer, you will spearhead the enhancement of cybersecurity architectures and implement enterprise-grade security platforms. You will act as a strategic partner and subject matter expert, ensuring alignment between cybersecurity initiatives and business goals within risk appetite constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades to current enterprise security frameworks to counter emerging cyber threats.
- Balance and align organizational business needs with cybersecurity and IT requirements, informed by risk tolerance.
- Conduct proof-of-concept and proof-of-value exercises to design, build, and deploy enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
- Develop and document integrated security operational models that promote efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
- Serve as a trusted cybersecurity and resilience expert collaborating closely across the Technology Group and other sectors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years specializing in Cybersecurity or Information Security, preferably within financial services or asset management.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity platforms including Security Operations tools (EDR, NDR, SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIPs).
- Experience in email security layers including secure email gateways, cloud-based email protections, anti-phishing/malware controls, authentication protocols (DMARC/DKIM/SPF), and email threat detection and response systems.
- Proficiency with Continuous Threat Exposure Management systems encompassing attack surface and vulnerability assessments, risk-based prioritization, and attack simulations.
- Preferred experience operating CTEM or equivalent risk exposure frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud security controls and architectures on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, C#, or similar languages with a strong understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Capability to produce detailed technical documentation, including diagrams and workflows.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and engage with diverse teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Professional information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are advantageous.
