Vocal Teacher

About the Role

Thomsun Music Institute, located in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Vocal Teacher to join their team. This role focuses on imparting vocal training to students across various age groups, helping them improve their singing techniques, confidence, and performance quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized and group vocal lessons catering to children, adolescents, and adults.
• Design lesson plans tailored to individual student abilities, goals, and learning speeds.
• Instruct students on fundamental vocal techniques including breathing control, pitch accuracy, tone quality, diction, and performance skills.
• Prepare learners for established music certification examinations.
• Organize and readiness students for recitals, concerts, competitive events, and showcases.
• Track and assess student progress, offering constructive and encouraging feedback.
• Facilitate the development of stage presence, musicality, and self-assurance among students.
• Work collaboratively with fellow instructors and institute staff to coordinate events and performances.

Requirements

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance or Music is mandatory.
• Holding a Grade 8 Trinity vocal certification is preferred.
• Between four to five years of vocal teaching experience post-certification.
• Comprehensive understanding of vocal techniques and music theory.
• Experience coaching students for ABRSM, Trinity, and London College of Music examinations is advantageous.
• Capability to instruct learners from beginner level to advanced proficiency.
• Proficient English communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities.
• A teaching style characterized by patience, enthusiasm, creativity, and confidence.
• Basic skills in piano or keyboard are considered a plus.
