Job Overview
HCLTech is seeking an experienced VMware Administrator for their Nagpur location. This role requires proficiency in managing VMware vSphere infrastructure with a specialization in ESXi and vCenter technologies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer and manage VMware vSphere environments, focusing on vSphere infrastructure components.
- Manage and patch ESXi hosts and vCenter servers to maintain system stability and security.
- Diagnose and resolve issues within ESXi hosts and the broader VMware platform.
- Troubleshoot various server hardware platforms including Cisco UCS, Dell Servers, and HP ProLiant servers.
- Work with converged and hyper-converged infrastructure platforms to optimize performance.
- Maintain and administer VMware Horizon View infrastructure for virtual desktop environments.
- Operate VMware vRealize Operations (vROPS) infrastructure for monitoring and capacity planning.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in managing VMware vSphere infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in ESXi and vCenter administration and patching processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot VMware platform and hardware integration issues effectively.
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS, Dell Servers, and HP ProLiant hardware platforms.
- Understanding of converged and hyper-converged platforms.
- Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon View and vROPS infrastructures.
- Certifications related to VMware technologies are considered a plus.
- Experience with Zerto disaster recovery solutions is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Cisco Intersight and Hyperflex systems is also beneficial.
