About the Role
We are seeking a skilled VMC Programmer with expertise in developing 2D and 3D machining programs using Autodesk PowerMill. The role involves designing, optimizing, and simulating toolpaths to enhance machining efficiency and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and refine 3D VMC toolpaths utilizing PowerMill software.
- Develop programs covering roughing, finishing, drilling, profiling, and pocketing machining operations.
- Interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models accurately.
- Choose appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining techniques tailored for each job.
- Conduct thorough toolpath simulations and collision checks to ensure safety and precision.
- Generate CNC programs and assist machine operators during setup and trial runs.
- Continuously improve programs focusing on precision, surface quality, tool durability, and reducing cycle times.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in Autodesk PowerMill software.
- Hands-on familiarity with Vertical Machining Center (VMC) operations.
- Solid understanding of G-code programming.
- Knowledge of tooling specifications and machining tolerances.
- Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings effectively.
