Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Violin/Piano Teacher to join our Bukit Timah team in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on delivering engaging and structured lessons that foster technical skills, musicianship, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for music in students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide violin and/or piano instruction to students ranging from beginners to advanced levels
- Create tailored lesson plans according to each student's skill level and objectives
- Instruct on technique, music theory, sight-reading, and performance abilities
- Prepare students for ABRSM, Trinity examinations, recitals, and other performances
- Track student progress regularly and communicate updates to parents
- Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and well-organized lesson schedules
- Participate in academy concerts, events, and student performances as needed
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of recognized qualifications in violin, piano, or music education
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years teaching experience
- Advanced skill level in violin and/or piano
- Strong foundation in technique, music theory, and performance practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities
- Patient, dependable, and flexible teaching style
- Prior experience preparing students for ABRSM, Trinity, or similar exams is advantageous
