Job description
Role Overview
The Videographer position is tasked with designing, filming, and delivering superior video materials aimed at marketing, social media, corporate communications, events, and other creative initiatives. This role collaborates closely with creative and project teams to convert visions and ideas into compelling visual narratives that effectively convey vital messages.
Responsibilities
- Develop, capture, and produce premium video content tailored for digital channels, social media, marketing efforts, event coverage, and corporate messaging.
- Manage all technical aspects of video creation, including camera operation, lighting setups, audio capture, framing, and composition.
- Work jointly with creative, marketing, content, and project stakeholders to ideate video concepts, scripts, storyboards, and production schedules.
- Execute video shoots in diverse environments, ensuring optimal use of equipment, lighting, sound, and visual design.
- Edit video footage, performing functions like trimming, transitions, color grading, sound refinement, subtitles insertion, and visual effect enhancements.
- Create both short and extended video formats suitable for various platforms and target audiences.
- Support additional visual content needs such as photography, fundamental graphic design, and motion graphics when required.
- Systematically organize and maintain video clips, project archives, production gear, and digital assets.
- Guarantee the final video outputs align with creative direction, technical standards, brand guidelines, and platform specifications.
- Stay informed of the latest methods in video production, emerging visual trends, narrative techniques, and content distribution formats.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or related fields.
- Comprehensive knowledge of videography principles, cinematography, lighting, audio, composition, and storytelling through visuals.
- Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable tools.
- Experience handling professional camera gear, lenses, lighting apparatus, microphones, gimbals, and other video production equipment.
- Understanding of various video specifications including formats, resolutions, aspect ratios, compression techniques, and digital publishing requirements.
- Strong creative vision paired with meticulous attention to visual details and narrative flow.
- Capability to plan and deliver video shoots adhering to creative briefs and production specifications.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects effectively, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Adaptability, keen attention to detail, proactivity, and eagerness to master new production technologies and methods.
- Having a portfolio or showreel showcasing videography and editing proficiency is advantageous.
Additional Information
This position operates on a part-time basis and requires physical presence on-site in the United Arab Emirates. Candidates interested should have demonstrable experience or qualifications as described and be prepared to manage diverse creative assignments with professionalism.
