About the Role

Genealogy Allied Services Private Limited is seeking an experienced Videographer to create high-quality video content to promote our brand across social media, websites, and promotional platforms. The selected candidate will oversee the entire video production process—right from ideation and shooting to editing and final delivery—collaborating closely with the social media and marketing teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit a variety of videos including short-form content (like Reels, Shorts, Facebook clips) and long-form productions (such as YouTube videos, website features, and brand films).
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop shot lists, storyboards, and scripts.
  • Capture footage at events, property and venue tours, testimonials from guests or students, behind-the-scenes moments, and campaign shoots.
  • Utilize drone technology to capture aerial shots when licensed and appropriate.
  • Edit videos incorporating color grading, sound design, music, subtitles, and motion graphics.
  • Prepare and deliver video files optimized for each platform with regard to aspect ratios, duration, and file size.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of raw footage, B-roll, and final video assets.
  • Properly manage and upkeep all equipment including cameras, lighting, audio devices, and stabilization gear.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to content calendars and meet deadlines, including accommodating urgent project requests.
  • Maintain brand consistency by following guidelines related to tone, visuals, and logo usage.
  • Secure necessary consents and releases from individuals featured on camera, with special attention given to minors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in videography and video editing.
  • Proficient use of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro; familiarity with After Effects is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on expertise with mirrorless or DSLR cameras, stabilizing gimbals, lighting setups, and external audio equipment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of work including short-form social media videos.
  • Good command of storytelling through framing, pacing, and sequencing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while working autonomously and efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct outdoor shoots, including early mornings and weekends.
  • Prior experience creating video content for hospitality, travel, wildlife, or education sectors.
  • Basic skills in photography and photo editing.
  • Experience with subtitling and multilingual captions.
  • Understanding of social media algorithms and video performance analytics.

Performance Metrics

  • Timely delivery of videos in line with the content calendar.
  • Monitoring video views, watch time, and viewer completion rates.
  • Engagement levels on video content through likes, shares, and comments.
  • Maintaining quality and consistency according to brand standards.
  • Efficiency in producing edits and handling revision requests.
