Role Overview
The Video Editor position is a full-time, on-location role based in Nagpur. The editor will be tasked with assembling, editing, and polishing wedding films as well as commercial projects while maintaining a consistent visual style and strong emotional resonance. Daily responsibilities encompass organizing raw footage, selecting and trimming clips, applying transitions, color grading, and incorporating sound design and music. The role requires close collaboration with directors and producers for integrating feedback and finalizing deliverables suitable for multiple platforms and formats. Additionally, the editor will aid in generating creative ideas to elevate visual storytelling and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Competent in narrative-driven video editing capable of assembling compelling films.
- Skilled in video color grading to produce cinematic and uniform visual aesthetics.
- Experienced in creating and incorporating motion graphics to enrich storytelling.
- Proficient in graphic design for titles, overlays, and brand-aligned visuals.
- Hands-on experience with professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Good grasp of sound design principles, music choice, and pacing to enhance emotional impact.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities and willing to work onsite within a collaborative team environment in Nagpur.
- Educational background or formal training in film, media, or related disciplines is advantageous; previous experience in wedding or commercial filmmaking is an added benefit.
