Job description
About ZenaTech
ZenaTech is a cutting-edge technology company focused on AI drones, Drone as a Service (DaaS), enterprise SaaS, and quantum computing, designed for critical business applications. Established in 2017, ZenaTech combines software development with drone design and manufacturing through ZenaDrone, enhancing inspection, monitoring, safety, and surveying processes across sectors including law enforcement, government, agriculture, defense, and logistics. The firm supports over 100 enterprise customers worldwide, operating offices in North America, Europe, and the UAE.
Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and technically skilled Video Editor to join our Vancouver team on a full-time, onsite basis. This position focuses on crafting clear, polished videos that elucidate our enterprise SaaS platforms through product screen recordings, feature walkthroughs, and client conversations. Unlike social media content, this role centers on software storytelling—creating product demos, tutorials, onboarding materials, and webinars that clarify complex drone data and SaaS workflows with engaging rhythm and clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit videos showcasing product demos, feature walkthroughs, and updates using screen recordings and voiceover audio.
- Incorporate UI annotations like callouts, cursor highlights, zoom effects, and motion graphics to direct viewer focus through software interfaces.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to convert technical details into concise, benefit-focused narratives.
- Maintain engaging pacing to keep demonstrations captivating without compromising clarity.
- Create tutorial and onboarding videos using a consistent visual style including intros, chapter markers, captions, and clear callouts, ensuring accessibility with or without sound.
- Edit webinar recordings, product launches, and customer interviews into refined long and short formats, and produce highlight reels and social clips.
- Apply branded visuals such as lower thirds, titles, and graphics aligned with corporate identity.
- Utilize DaVinci Resolve or equivalent software for comprehensive editing tasks: cutting, color grading, audio mixing, and final output.
- Enhance video quality by removing artifacts typical in screen recordings, such as low resolution, frame rate issues, and audio noise.
- Export videos tailored for diverse platforms including web, YouTube, LinkedIn, and in-app help centers.
- Maintain organized project archives comprising raw materials, project files, and final versions.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ professional experience editing videos, preferably focused on SaaS, technology, or software products.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product demo, tutorial, or software walkthrough video production is mandatory.
- Proficient with video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or equivalents, including capabilities in editing, color correction, and audio mastering.
- Skilled in creating motion graphics, UI annotations, and captioning to simplify technical content visually.
- An excellent sense for pacing instructional material to be both engaging and thorough.
- The capability to work independently and interpret feedback from product and marketing teams into professional video edits.
- Efficient organizational skills to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience with motion graphics tools like Adobe After Effects.
- Background editing content for B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or technology firms.
- Educational credentials in Film, Media Production, Communications, or related disciplines.
