Role Overview

This full-time position, based in Delhi, India, requires working on-site as a Video Editor. Responsibilities include editing news and feature videos, assembling raw footage, and crafting compelling visual narratives following editorial standards. Tasks involve cutting and sequencing clips, incorporating transitions, titles, motion graphics, and sound design, plus conducting color grading and essential audio adjustments. The role demands close cooperation with reporters, producers, and graphic artists to meet strict deadlines while ensuring uniform style and quality. Additional duties include organizing media files, maintaining file management practices, and contributing to video workflow improvements.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Expertise in video editing and production using industry-standard software.
  • Proficiency in video color grading to maintain visual consistency and appeal.
  • Skilled in creating and applying motion graphics and graphic elements to enhance storytelling.
  • Previous experience in news, digital media, or broadcast settings is advantageous.
  • Strong visual storytelling aptitude, excellent timing, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines, multitask across projects, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Understanding of social media and digital video specifications, including various aspect ratios and platform norms.
  • Educational background in Film, Media, Communication, or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience.
