Role Overview
The Video Editor position is a full-time, on-location role based in Pune Camp. Responsibilities include compiling raw footage, editing sequences to generate polished final videos for digital platforms, campaigns, and internal use. Daily duties involve selecting and arranging clips, trimming footage, incorporating transitions and effects, synchronizing sound, and working closely with producers, designers, and colleagues to ensure alignment with project goals and brand standards.
Additional tasks include applying color correction and grading, integrating motion graphics and titles, and formatting videos for optimal resolution and delivery. The editor also participates in creative brainstorming sessions, maintains organized project documentation, and adheres to schedules to produce high-quality content on time.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in video editing and production, capable of transforming raw footage into compelling narratives.
- Proficient in video color grading techniques to enhance visual tone and maintain consistency.
- Experience creating motion graphics such as titles, lower thirds, overlays, and basic animations.
- Skilled in industry-standard editing and post-production software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Knowledgeable in audio editing, fundamental sound design, and incorporating music into video content.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, receive feedback positively, and collaborate effectively within teams.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Formal education or certification in film, media, communications, or a related area, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Possesses a portfolio or showreel showcasing prior video editing and motion graphics projects.
