The globally distributed team spans Singapore, India, and the US, driving breakthroughs in learning technologies to revolutionize learner success.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to craft engaging academic and exam-prep video lessons, concept explainers, and brief learning clips ranging from 15 to 60 seconds. Your work will transform raw footage into compelling, clear, and highly accessible educational videos that significantly aid learners in comprehension and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit academic and educational content including lessons, concept explainers, exam preparation, and short-form learning videos.
- Manage complete video editing processes such as cutting, pacing, audio design, music integration, captioning, color correction, and final export.
- Design motion graphics including on-screen text, diagrams, callouts, transitions, and animations to clarify concepts visually.
- Collaborate closely with content and academic teams to thoroughly understand material and deliver visually coherent videos.
- Leverage AI video editing tools to accelerate production without compromising quality.
- Rapidly execute video edits and incorporate feedback for revisions.
- Maintain organized project files, footage, and templates ensuring consistent quality, tone, and visual style across all videos.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 2 years of video editing experience, preferably with educational, explainer, or short-form content.
- A portfolio or reel showcasing self-edited videos is highly preferred over a conventional CV.
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro for editing, plus After Effects for motion graphics composition.
- Familiarity or enthusiasm to adopt AI video tools such as Higgsfield and HeyGen.
- Strong sensibility for pacing, clarity, and structural storytelling to simplify complex topics effectively.
- Able to manage high workloads and tight deadlines while maintaining video quality.
- Good communication skills, receptive to direction, and capability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
- Bonus: Experience with short-form or social media video content, knowledge of Photoshop or Canva, or background in ed-tech content development.
