Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Kozhikode involves shaping raw footage into completed video productions including films, commercials, and digital campaigns. Responsibilities entail clipping and trimming video segments, applying transitions and effects, syncing audio, color grading, and sound design to deliver polished final videos. The editor will collaborate with directors, producers, and creative team members to understand project briefs, refine narratives, and uphold brand consistency. The role also includes creating multiple platform-specific versions, managing project schedules, and maintaining systematic archives of all assets and edits.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, along with knowledge of post-production processes.
• Proficiency in color grading, audio post-processing, and introductory motion graphics or VFX using After Effects or equivalent.
• Strong grasp of storytelling mechanics, rhythm, and visual design to effectively convey creative ideas on screen.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently while respecting deadlines and maintaining an orderly file management system.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities, willing to accept feedback and revise work accordingly.
• Proven background in editing for film, commercials, or digital content supported by a robust portfolio or showreel.
• Preferred academic credentials include studies in Film, Media, Communication, or related subjects, or comparable industry experience.
• Keen attention to detail, problem-solving skills related to creative challenges, and enthusiasm for ongoing industry advancements and editing trends.
